Ms. Gosego Phele

Chief Operations Officer

Ms. Gosego Phele is the Chief Operations Officer at Botswana Development Corporation, effective 1st July 2026.

Ms Phele served in her previous role as Head of Strategy, where she led the development and execution of the BDC’s corporate strategy and supported initiatives aimed at accelerating economic transformation and sustainable growth in Botswana. 

Throughout her distinguished career, Ms Phele has established herself as a results-driven leader with extensive experience in driving institutional performance, organisational turnaround, strategic planning, and governance.

Ms. Phele holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Strategic Management from the University of Derby (UK), a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from the University of Cape Town (South Africa), is ACCA Part Qualified (Level 2), having successfully completed ACCA Level 1, and is a Balanced Scorecard Master Professional as well as a PRINCE2 Certified Practitioner.
