Ms. Benedicta Abosi

Chief Financial Officer

Benedicta Abosi is currently Chief Financial Officer at the Botswana Development Corporation. A position she assumed March 4, 2019. Ms. Abosi is a seasoned professional with over 17 years of diverse experience in financial markets across Botswana, South Africa and the United States of America.

She is primarily responsible for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial related activities of the Corporation including treasury management. This includes direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, deal analysis and negotiations, investor relationships, partnership compliance and private and institutional financing. As a public interest entity and parastatal, Benedicta’s responsibilities extend to ensuring appropriate procurement practices in the Corporation. In her capacity she is also responsible for the execution of the overall strategy of the Corporation whilst ensuring sound Risk Management practices are adhered to.  

Ms. Abosi holds a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree from the University of Botswana. She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW), a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and a fellow member of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants. She recently completed the Advanced Management Programme of the University of Witwatersrand and the Executive Development Programme of the University of Stellenbosch.
