About BDC
The Botswana Development Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “BDC” or the “Corporation”) is the Government’s main investment arm established in 1970 as a private company and wholly owned by the Government of Botswana through the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI).

BDC is the country’s main agency for commercial and industrial development.Established in 1970 under the Companies Act,
BDC is a company Limited by Shares and owned by the Government of Botswana.
The control of the Corporation is vested in an independent Board of Directors led by an Independent Non-Executive Chairman. The Managing Director is responsible for the day to day running of the Corporation.
